Though the Food & Civil Supplies Department was handed over to BTC through office Memorandum signed in the 16th day of October, 2004, the defacto handing over took place only from the month of July, 2006. BTC has issued its first instruction for allotment of PDS articles to all the districts and sub-divisions of BTC area.
