ROADS

The condition of all the forest roads is worse than that of the roads in the civil areas. Hence there is a need of construction/repairing of a number of roads, bridges, culverts etc. inside forest areas those are required to enable the field staff to move around in the forest on field duties.
So far as the data available, the length of Forest Roads are given below:-

(1) Dhubri Division (Proposed Parbatjhora Forest Division) :- This Division has total 92.83 kms. length forest road falling under BTC.

The names of Forest Roads are:-

(2) Haltugaon Division :- This Division has got total 142.10 kms. length of Forest Road other than small village roads in the Forest Villages. There are 12 wooden bridges and 31 nos. of Hume Pipes/Culverts. Most of the wooden bridges are under deplorable condition and many of them are either completely damaged or no sign of bridge (s) ever existed.
